Blockchain – Create Verifiable Digital Certificates For Coding Dojo Students

Coding Dojo is a place where I love what I do. We are 100% focused on our students’ success. Since Michael Choi asked me for help to open the Coding Dojo Arlington, Virginia just outside of DC, hundreds of people have succeeded.
Research and development are a key part of our “special sauce”. We are focused on the future trends and things that will make people serious about technology and learning. This is the magic of teaching others. There is so much to discover and so many explorers.
Why blockchain?
It was easy to get involved in blockchain because it is cutting-edge and hot. Our students and our team are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give them insight into a new technology. We were also the first to offer a bitcoin-based digital certificate to boot camp students. We are committed to doing everything we can to help them and give credit to them.
Source: blockcerts.orgCodingDojo uses Blockcerts for its digital certificate platform. Blockcerts is an open-standard for creating, issuing and viewing blockchain-based certificates. These digital records can be shared and cryptographically signed on a blockchain.
The goal of the project is to create a new wave of innovation that allows individuals to have and share their official records. The Media Lab and Learning Machine at MIT led the initial design and development. This open-source project encourages collaboration to continue development. Our instructor Tim Chen was sent to MIT to work with the BlockCert team, and the founder of the project. He returned to Tysons Corner to help develop our current process. Our program requires students to dedicate hundreds of hours to complete. We are happy to help institutions that offer workshops or programs that teach people skills. We are happy to help you create a similar platform for students. It is crucial for students to have verifiable proof of work.
Coding Dojo will be sharing its digital certificate technology at the UBTech conference. We will host a luncheon workshop at 12:30 PM PST at Mirage Casino in Las Vegas, NV. If you can, please join us!
